Codes of Earth Today:Tautochronos/Michel Lamoller

In 2013, Michel Lamoeller began creating a series called "Tautochronos". The word is a combination of two Greek words "tauto" (which means sameness) and "chronos" (which means time). Michel took pictures of the same subject at different times, printed them out separately， piled them and then cut off the unnecessary parts of each photo. In this way, the subject can present its appearances at different times, and temporality of people and things are shown as well. This has left the readers and audience with a special visual experience and turned photography from something transient into something that can record the passage of time.
