Codes of Earth Today:particulate/Boris L

Therepresentation of Anthropocene is underground remains left by human activities. However, the remains of human activities since modern times mostly exist on the surface of Earth. By means of sculpture, artistBoris Loder compressed objects, which were randomly discarded by human beings in their daily life, into acrylic cubes, and then shot them through the way of standardized documentary photography. These works symbolize what our descendents would see when digging the strata and researching the Anthropocene.

AlthoughBoris Loder gathered his material from a limited area, his works can present the real material life of human beings since globalization and people’s attitudes to dealing with "excrement". That’s why Boris Loder’s “Particles”can be seen as the most basic code of the world today.
