Introduction: The exhibition through 29 history photographers, 30 international photographers, and more than 50 Chinese photographers handmade images presented as a separate individual view and thinking of the historical and the present, these different process, the manual images of multiple perspectives and broad vision works not only embodies the artists active artistic vitality, It also presents a variety of image presentation techniques from the invention of photography in the 19th century up to now, its innovation in the historical development and multiple forms of expression integrated into artistic creation as a medium.

From William Henry Fox Talbot’s Salt Print to Christina Z. Anderson’s blue toned Salt Print, from Anna Atkins’ Cyanotype to Anette Golaz’s Tricolor Cyanotype, from Alfred Stieglitz’s Photogravure to Clay Harmon’s Polymer Photogravure and other process, themes, content innovation is numerous. Originated from the past and produced in the present -- we can understand the starting point and initial context of the development of today’s photography while understanding the shooting themes and techniques of historical images.
